Kvällsljus i köket
Interiors at the end of the day. Curtains, dust, the small geometry of a room that nobody is trying to make beautiful.
[ September 2, 2023 ]
Gothenburg
This began as a domestic accident — a window in a rented flat that produced an hour of extraordinary light each September evening. I started photographing it, then the room around it, then the objects the light chose.
There are no people in the series, though it is entirely about someone living there. Cups left out, a chair pulled away from a table, curtains moved by a window nobody closed.
It is the most personal work I have made, and the least dramatic. Both of those things feel correct.
