Vinterhamn
Cold harbours in the blue hour, when the boats are asleep and the water holds more light than the sky above it.

Bohuslän
Bohuslän in January is almost monochrome, but not quite. There is a faint rose in the granite around three in the afternoon that lasts perhaps twelve minutes, and I spent most of the trip waiting for it.
The fishing sheds are painted the same red they have been for a century. Against grey water and frost, that red becomes the loudest thing for miles.
I photographed mostly from the piers, hands numb, working slowly on film. The slowness shows, and I think that's what makes the series hold together.
